At 3:00 PM on June 28, 2000, fourteen American teenagers came together, along with two group leaders, not knowing exactly what was in store for them during the next six weeks. By the time they boarded the 5:50 PM South African Airways flight to Johannesburg, everyone was already feeling the vibes of the experience that awaited them; people were so incredibly warm and welcoming that it felt as if there couldn't have been a better group going on this trip, a feeling that stays with most of us to this day. The group landed at the Sir Seretse Khama Airport in Gabarone to one of the most warm welcomings imaginable; an African sunset. The rest of the story lies in the photographs on this webpage; they speak for themselves.

*As this page wouldn't be the same without the pictures it contains, my experience wouldn't have been the same without each and every one of you who made it possible and were there for me throughout the entire ordeal. This trip was made not only by the beautiful setting and the wonderful interactions we all had with our hosting society, but also by the unbelievable group of students that I was honored to be a part of. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.*
